Her portraits are also small in scale – most heads are about the size of a chicken’s egg. They are primarily made of newspaper and facial tissue glued with gel medium and painted with acrylic paint. The hair varies. It can be steel wool, or lambs wool, twine or thread. Often the sculptures are placed in recycled wine boxes or on pedestals of wood scraps. As in portraits of the Northern Renaissance objects included with the portrait relate to the lives of the portrayed.
